Under-ballast mat materials are synthetic fabrics used to provide ground stabilization and drainage by holding railway stones in place in rail systems. These materials prevent ballast stones from slipping and contribute to the longevity of the rail structure by reducing ground deformation.

Under sleeper pad materials are synthetic or composite materials placed under railway sleepers to increase ground stabilization and improve load distribution. These pads provide more even support for the sleepers and help to extend the life of the railway system.
